St Paul's VA Primary School

Forest School

St. Paul's School is very fortunate in its position in the countryside to be able to offer our children Forest School.

We have a willow walk to walk through and observe the local wildlife, a dedicated outdoor learning area, bug hotels and much more. Children learn so much from this environment, linked directly and indirectly to the activities that they participate in.

Children have the opportunity to do things like make dens and shelters, make bug hotels and bird feeders. They use the natural resources to create pictures and  links to other curriculum work, such as measuring with sticks, or counting leaves. They learn about our impact on the environment and how we can protect it. The children have the opportunity to play in the rich, diverse natural environment, they learn by taking care of themselves, of others and the environment.

This is such a valuable resource and we are very fortunate to have this to offer to St Paul's children.
